As Coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to dominate the headlines and many of our lives, we wish to reassure our colleagues, families, clients and business partners KC Group Shipping and our dedicated team will continue to monitor developments whilst at once, place health and well-being at the forefront of our business.
We recognise KC continue to play a pivotal role in supporting numerous sectors by delivering countless commodities, on a daily basis, throughout the United Kingdom. Commodities including medical supplies, food & drink, and a vast array of essentials to make life that little bit easier during such difficult times.
From the outset, we have attempted to be both transparent and informative, therefore, we wish to provide a further update following our information of 17 March.
Our most recent actions include;
✓ 100% of our team working from home to deliver uninterrupted logistics solutions.
✓ Internal and external communication back up (both visual and audio).
✓ Significant investment in latest IT hardware and software.
✓ All office communication platforms have been automatically redirected.
✓ Daily video conferences to monitor transport, port and depot activity/restrictions
The operational/transport position currently reads;
✓ Ocean Freight – capacity is reduced and equipment shortages – however space available.
✓ Air Freight – Numerous flights have been grounded with airlines offering space at a premium
✓ Express Road Freight – uninterrupted – dependant on country of origin/destination
✓ Road Freight - uninterrupted – dependant on country of origin/destination
As of, Wednesday 25 March 2020, all UK ports, airports and container depots remain fully operational.
